Welcome to Happily On The Move! We’re a retired couple sharing our love for travel and adventure. Who we are:

Hi! We're Ken and Cheryl — full-time adventurers and part-time snowbirds splitting our time between the beautiful Finger Lakes of New York and the sunny shores of Florida.

Our RV journey began a few years ago with a Forest River Alpha Wolf, and it didn’t take long before we upgraded to our current home on wheels: a Keystone Cougar 316RLS 5th wheel. What started as a fun way to escape the cold quickly turned into a passion for travel, discovery, and living life Happily On The Move.

In January 2025, we launched our YouTube channel to share this lifestyle with others. On our channel, you'll find not just RV adventures, but a variety of travel experiences — from road trips and cruises to flights and destination highlights. Whether we’re towing our RV across a scenic highway or hopping on a plane to explore someplace new, we’re always chasing the next great adventure.

We hope you'll come along for the ride!

While in France we took the opportunity to rent a car and drive to Normandy. What an incredible experience that was. Seeing Omaha Beach, Gold Beach, the Normandy American Cemetery, and visiting several museums was truly a sobering experience.

What a day in Paris this has been! Got up grabbed a bite to eat and jumped on the metro. We started the day off at Notre Dame. Got there just around 11:30 and were greeted by a long line, but it moved quickly and we made it inside. After that we walked to the Louvre and the Arc de Triomphe. Ended up with a river boat cruise down the Seine and then made our way back to the hotel! We’re both whipped! Tomorrow we’re headed to the Palace of Versailles. The adventure continues!

This morning we said goodbye to Dublin and hello to Paris! Even though we were up at 3:00 AM to catch our flight, we still made most of the day. We checked out Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre, rode the Paris metro, went to the Eiffel Tower, and explored the Montmartre area. First observations - Paris sure is hilly and has a ton of stairs, but sure is beautiful!

Yesterday was our last day in Dublin. We had a pretty easy day. Started off with breakfast and then jumped on a bus and headed back over to the Guinness Brewery. Enjoyed the tour and the pint at the end even more! Beautiful view from the Gravity Bar.

Yesterday was our first full day exploring Dublin. We started with a hop-on, hop-off bus ride which took us to Trinity College, the Dublin Castle, and to Guinness (which was sold out so we’re going there today), and we ended the day with a tour of the Jameson Distillery. Overall I would call that a pretty productive day!

This morning we said goodbye to London and hello Dublin Ireland! It’s a cold, windy, rainy night here tonight, so we decided to stream the Bills game (Go Bills!) on the laptop and just stay in. Looking forward to checking out all that Dublin has to offer tomorrow.

Yesterday we took a tour out to the Cotswolds and explored 4 different villages - Burford, Bibury, Bourton-on-the-water, and Stow-on-the-Wold. These were very picturesque villages and were neat to explore.

Yesterday started off as a rainy, windy, and cold day but it didn’t slow us down. Made it to Big Ben, West Minster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, The National Gallery, and The British Museum! Today we are headed to the Cotswolds, can’t wait to see some of the countryside.

London Day 2! Yesterday we checked out London Bridge, Borough Market, Tower Bridge, Sky Garden, and a whole bunch of things in between! Logged over 20,000 steps and 9.5 miles of walking!! On to see more!

Day 1 in London! After a long travel day/night and checking into our hotel, we decided to not waste the day and go out to do some exploring. We exlpored the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Seven Dials, Trafalgar Square, and the Westfield Stratford city area. To finish the day off, we met an old friend and co-worker from the fire department and had dinner at a traditional British Pub. I would say our fist day in London was a definite success! Sleepy Hollow NY is definitely a neat place to check out. We explored the Old Dutch Church, found where the Headless Horseman likes to hang out, and explored the town…we then decided to take a last minute trip on the MTA and head into NYC! On a whim decisions like this make the best memories!

Yesterday we visited the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY — where future top chefs are born! 🍽️ From mouthwatering meals to stunning campus views, it’s a foodie’s dream come true. We grabbed lunch (and dessert) at the Apple Pie Cafe and then headed over to The Egg to grab one of their craft beers. It was definitely a fun experience! 👨‍🍳✨

Set up for a couple of nights at Blythe Island Regional Park Campground near Brunswick GA. What a beautiful campground! Large private sites with back-in and pull-throughs available. Tomorrow we’re gonna check out Jekyll Island and St. Simons island. Oh and the rabbits…there are a bunch of these guys in the campground. While they are “wild” they’ll come up and eat out of your hand!
